Anya on the train from Yaroslavl, where her grandparents live, to Moscow. Our journey was only six hours, but some had been on the carriage for five days, coming from Siberia. As unlikely as it may sound, it was 40 degrees that day, so some were stripped down to their underwear, and the babies and fleas were getting edgy. An experience-and-a-half. July 2010.
