I competed in the Transmoto 12-Hour back in March with my sister’s boyfriend John, and have never been as utterly exhausted as I was when the ‘final lap’ board went out at 6.30pm. John and I had been going tag-team at riding the 10km loop for eleven-and-a-half hours, and my body was protesting to the point that I got cramps in my legs when leaning down to strap my boots up. At this stage, gone was the feeling of freedom and excitement when jumping on a motorcycle, replaced instead by a feeling of accomplishment.
This shot was captured the night before.
Love this shot, the calm before the storm of four stroke thunder!
