So those dreaded exams are over, and I’m somewhere in the Victorian Desert. It’s kinda funny having a beer in a swanky Martin Place bar one night, then on the bank of the Murray River the next.
Good campsite for the first night?
The banks of the Murray. Apparently NSW owns the water, so poor Victora expands and contracts with the tide.
Tomorrow John (pictured), Chris and I will attempt to ride the Hattah Desert Race.
This is my steed. We had the prolouge today, and I managed 95th out of about 190 riders in my class, despite a crash. Not bad, but still around 4 minutes behind the leader, Toby Price.
Better go eat some carbs.
